International Fashion Designers Exhibiting In a New Marleybone Popup Show

This May sees a unique opportunity to see and buy new designs from international designers at a new pop-up shop in Marylebone, London. The event on 13-26 May is organised by ‘Silk Road Fashion in London’ and ‘Adam and Alice’ brands.

With Creative director JamesC joining them on the 14th of May as head of makeup for a multi designer catwalk segment, we are really excited about the prospects of the show and what is to come from it. We are already prepping a range of new designs for future projects and working out potential marketing avenues to support the show.

The term silk road in and of itself is really clever and has its roots in trade roads and travel which is really appropriate given the upcoming event which is designed as a showcase. The event is designed to mimic the bizarre’s of the past where people of all cultures and creeds would gather to meet and greet, see friends, do business and the find the latest fashions. Seeing the combination of the Silk Road team and of course Adam and Alice is fantastic and will open the doors to a wide range of creative opportunities for artists across the board and as a makeup artist and creative team we are really excited to be a part of this.

As a networking opportunity this is an amazing place to be and over the run there will be a variety of small shows, open days for the public, guest speakers and lectures all based around the fashion world.

The leading lights behind this show Adam and Alice and The Silk Road Fashion in London team have put together a stellar itinerary and we are really excited to be a part of this.

We are really excited about what is happening here at The Lost Project, not only have we created a whole new narrative that we and several of our clients are excited about. Which in and of itself is really good news and will with time put us in the place we want to be.

Naturally we are taking this slow and making sure that all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. While there are some areas that are being discussed that will open doors and opportunities to new and established creative talent that wants to step up. We will support this but for our own projects we are going to be taking smaller steps and keeping things small with a carefully structured hand picked team of people from locations that we are familiar with and know we can trust.

With the potential avenues that are being brought into play, we are really excited about the prospect of whats coming up and will be revealing details over the coming weeks.

From fashion to film and TV, there are endless opportunities to be had, we are already seeing the potential of this and given that we want to specialise more in the film and TV sector we will only dip our collective toes into the water of fashion for that, we have some ideas that need support from designers and have already put the feelers out on that front.

Our team is pushing hard to create something special and stay within the boundaries of our remit, commercial and art can work together and we fully intend to prove it.

We are now sketching out designs to pitch to a designer for a pop up show and a PR agent is backing the plans which is fantastic news and will add an extra edge to the work coming up.

My Ideal Destination and KitKase My Ideal Package

Something I have been putting off is travelling, with various personal, professional and financial restraints on my time I really felt that it was for the best that I stick to one place and spot for a while but as you can imagine now that I am a little freer on the time front the urge to travel has started to make me feel the need to move again. Yes the weather is improving here in Scotland but I do miss South Asia and for work I am really beginning to think its time to move on.

Changing the Narrative of The Lost Project

Over the last 18 months we have worked extremely hard alongside our creative director James Clark, who has been a diligent and hardworking beauty editor for a major magazine, however that is all changing and as much as we loved what he did, it has been decided that we will do it for ourselves.

Talking to some of the agencies and brands we have worked with over the last 18 months they are coming over to the Lost Project and we will be building our network and creating online articles focusing on beauty, lifestyle and art.

Already seeing some interest, over the next month we will add new members to the online team who will work with us to create articles, making full use of social media marketing and of course working to create beautiful images with a lost project twist.

It does feel like a huge relief to know that we can finally really put the focus back on ourselves and the clients we have built a relationship with.

This change of narrative is something we are really excited about and now we will be able to grow and redefine our story.

The Lost Blog Returns

We have been sitting as a team and discussing the different elements of what we do and what we offer, fine tuning the business so to speak. One thing that came up was the website, as much as we all loved it, we felt that it made sense to reinvigorate the concept as we move into a new phase and give ourselves a fresh look to meet the changes we have planned.

Over the coming months we will be working on the plans to expand on production and print work, thanks to our creative director JamesC mua, we have access to some fantastic resources and will be making effective use of them soon. We also will be migrating all the work into one solid site and JamesC will be joining us long term with all his work being showcased here on the Lost Project website.

Something that has been on our mind is we want to create more work of our own and we are aiming to have at least two festival pieces in play and then start on our internet TV plans with the TV Series script earmarked already with our plan being to integrate in one of our Bollywood contacts for the lead role.

A host of new images will also be shot to fill out the website with JamesC taking the lead, naturally as creative director, giving him the chance to spread his wings a little as in-house makeup designer and photographer.

Overall, we are excited about the prospects of the new year and will be making waves with our work and direction.
